Yes they're suede, however they are not lined. thus if you reside during a notably cold or rainy climate, like I used to in Oregon, you may find yourself with cold wet feet (I am pretty positive you'll expect rain water to drip into the boot since the gap is pretty wide. I wear a nine 1/2 normally, however after I purchase boots, I perpetually order a 10 since i do know that i will be carrying them within the winter and i will be carrying them with medium weight socks (not skinny however not super thick). i attempted these on with summer socks and that they were still alittle comfortable. They work my foot sort of a glove that is good however that always suggests that if I actually have to place on heavier socks to stay heat, my feet might get cramped and hurt. Thank god I live in California now! So primarily this can be a very cute shoe, the development is ""OK"" however not nice and that i would not wear them if you intend to be standing outside within the cold or within the rain unless it's from house to automobile or visa versa.
